is there a way to enter a note in child's period info ?

The best place for notes is under the notes tab.

notes tab is for family, i asked for a note in period per child

What type of notes are you looking to put on a child that's not for the family?

basicly for summer periods i have some notes to add

but can be usefull for other things like special ed etc...

So for these things, you enter the child note on the student in the courses screen.
