Good afternoon,

So we were made aware of the feature to accept check by phone. It is done in the same area of the program as the credit cards.

You go to the note tab, on the bottom instead of going to the tab  credit card you'll see a tab that reads checking. It works a little differently than ACH, with this program you would enter all the information from the check. And the check number the person would like to use. And the idea is to print the check and physically deposit the piece of paper. It looks almost like a regular check a donor would send in the mail. But instead of a signature. It says on the check that the signer authorized the organization to print the check.

But here is the bigger problem, and we hope to get this clarified. Since the check is printed on a piece of white copy paper Santander bank would not accept it.  We tried to deposit it online with Fidelity and they wouldn't accept it either.  They said it's not a check.

Almost all banks do accept this check. (Chase, HSBC, Citibank we have our own accounts there). In case yours doesn't we sell blank check paper you can print on. Each case of 500 papers (which is 1500 checks) is $150. Call in if you want to order.

When depositing online how did this come up differently than a regular check? And what means they didn't accept it.

Thank you for your reply. And sorry for the delayed response.

In the bank they said its just a piece paper how do I know it wasn't just made  up.  And with our Check scanner it just did not read it correctly. It showed errors.

I'm not the one actually preparing  or making the deposits. But it could well be that it needs some adjustments.

On a side note, Santandar bank now scans all the checks when making a deposit while you wait just like we would do in the office. So that is why I'm thinking maybe we should look in to how the check is printing?
