how to query all accounts last name starting with a

How can i make a query, to get all accounts that their last name is starting with the letter 'a', or a range of letters, like 'a' thru 'c'?

Multiple ways.

1) Are you by the search screen? Just put an a by name and fill the check box Beginning Only.

2) Are you by the query screen. Use the general info tab. Choose LName And Enter by value A to B, will give you only A. Enter A to D to give you a,b,c.
