How do I track "cultivation steps" in a donor relationship? For example, if I want to make notations for every time I call, email, meet etc., I would want to track date and time, type of communication, notes field for details, and place to list next steps or follow-up.

Notes tab. Make a category for these notes so you can query on it.

Do you mean "phone call", "meeting", "email", etc. would all be different categories?

Also, can you make the note private, so that only certain users can see it?
